Daintree Views is 1 and a half hours drive North from Cairns International Airport, taking a spectacular scenic coastal drive to the Douglas Shire. Visit the presidential playground of Port Douglas where the "Who's Who" of the film industry and dignitaries from around the world regularly choose to holiday.

Traveling a little further North will bring you to the picturesque sugar cane township of Mossman and The Gorge. This area has a vast array of cultural and environmental attractions, including the Kuku Yalanji tribe, the traditional aboriginal landowners who can lead you on an unforgettable journey into their dreamtime with dance performances and artifacts portraying their rich cultural heritage.

Your next stop before heading "over the river" and into the Daintree National Park, is Daintree Village. This historic little township is a must see, located on the southern bank of the majestic Daintree River and the perfect setting for relaxing bit to eat and a cool refreshing drink.

The Daintree River Ferry is the gateway to the magical Daintree Coast. This is the only cable ferry in Tropical Australia and operates 7 days a week, 6am to Midnight. Once on the Northern side of the Daintree River, a 3km drive meandering through the rainforest will bring you to your holiday retreat.

The Daintree

This 135 million year old tropical rainforest eco system is one of the most complex and ancient on earth. The landscape is one of striking diversity including magnificent scenery, mountain ranges, streams and waterfalls, deep gorges and dense rainforest. This outstanding environmental wonder combines tropical rainforest, white sandy beaches and fringe reefs just offshore ... an extremely rare combination where the "Rainforest meets the Reef".

Transport

We can arrange for a rental vehicle to be available for collection from the Cairns Airport on arrival for those that wish to self drive. Due to the distances between the tours and activities, this is generally the preferred option. Alternatively, regular bus services are available with Coral Reef Coaches and private transfers can be organized by contacting Sun Palm Transport.
